All About Cats

In honor of International Cat Day, I am sharing some of my favorite cat photos. I absolutely love cats. We have three: a 17-year-old gray and white girl, Lindy, who is the littlest one in the house, yet still runs it and 1-year-old brothers, Alfie and Griffin (named after Washington Redskins players) we adopted after I photographed them for Leesburg Veterinary Hospital. We lost our black kitty, Chaya, in January to bladder cancer. I still miss her every day and treasure all the photos I have of her.

Photographing cats can be a bit of a challenge, because, well, you know, they’re cats. And they have minds of their own. There are some tricks to photographing them, including catnip. And a good assistant. But the results are well worth it. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do. To see more, visit the “Cats” gallery on my website: www.ellenzanglaphotography.com/pets/cats.
