Pet Photo Costume Contest Winners

Woofie’s and I hosted our first annual Halloween pet photo shoot, costume contest and party last week: Pics, Tricks and Treats. I photographed 87 dogs, 1 cat (!!) and several costumed owners. The pets looked amazing and the costumes were fantastic: superheroes to spiders and bumblebees to ballerinas. And a gorgeous cat, Dinah, dressed as Santa. Phenomenal trainer, Kelly Knowles, was there demonstrating tricks with her two dogs, Roy and Addie. And, of course, there were treats for pets and their people. Plus we raised $1,100 for the US Humane Society to help animals impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria!!

People voted for their favorite pet photos on Facebook, and we awarded three special prizes too. And the winners are…drumroll please!

First place, Chewie, the Cockapoo and his brother Nicholas. They won a custom painting of this photo from Jill Perla Art.

2017 Bronze Medal Photographer of the Year: Professional Photographers of America

My pets, two dogs and two cats, are an integral part of my life. I absolutely adore them. Like other family members whom we love, I feel that it is incredibly important to have portraits of them that capture the essence of who they are, whether they’re regal or goofy (or both!) or somewhere in between. If you feel the same way about your dog, cat or other fur or scaled kid, here’s how you can learn more about a pet photo shoot with me works. Or feel free to contact me. I am a pet photographer, specializing in photographs of pets and pets with their people. I serve all of Northern Virginia, including Loudoun, Fairfax, Leesburg, Ashburn and Reston, as well the DC Metro area, and I would love to create pet portraits  for you that you will treasure for a lifetime.
