Woof—Did You Say Peanut Butter & Bacon Frozen Yogurt?
I had a great, albeit extremely hot, time last Saturday at the Happy Hound’s one year birthday celebration. I displayed some of my pet photography at a table I shared with my friend, Lydia, a designer with Keep Collective, a line of customizable jewelry with a lot of great pet-related keys (aka “charms”). She’s the one getting kissed by a new friend, a ridiculously cute Pug puppy, in one of the photos below.
The Happy Hound supplied free frozen yogurt from “the bear and the rat” for dogs as well as several pools for cooling off. Moo Thru, was there with delicious homemade ice cream for the two-legged attendees, so everywhere you looked, you saw pets and people enjoying frozen desserts. Did I mention how hot it was that day?
A lot of the Happy Hound’s clients came by to celebrate, as you can see from the photos below. And I had a number of clients and friends stop by to say hello with their pups.
I also took some photos of the event, posted below—lots of dogs eating yogurt, cooling off in the pool or trying to beat the heat in the shade. Some of them are showing off new collars or toys their parents bought for them that day.
As an aside, it’s great to see a locally-owned business do so well. I’m a big believer in supporting small, locally-owned businesses rather than the big chains whenever possible.
