“Face of Woofie’s” Dog Photo Shoot Raises $5,000 for Operation Smile
Woofie’s, a pet sitting and mobile grooming business based in Ashburn, Va, is franchising and looking for a new dog to represent their brand moving forward. To find that dog, Woofie’s held a casting call, and 177 dogs—puppies to seniors, short-haired to long-haired, tiny (under 5 pounds) to huge (220 pounds!!)— showed up to have their photo taken by me! One of these dogs, chosen by the Woofie’s team at the end of June, will appear on all their mobile grooming vans, both in Loudoun County and across the country as their franchise grows. I photographed so many stunning dogs, and many of the other dogs’ photos will be used on the Woofie’s website and in their marketing materials.
The casting call was held as a fundraiser, with a $30 per dog entry fee, and all proceeds go to Operation Smile! We raised $5,000; it costs just $240 to fund a cleft palate/lip repair through Operation Smile, so this event will allow 20 children to get the surgery they need!
I posted all the photos on my Facebook page but wanted to share a representation of the many beautiful pictures!

My pets, two dogs and two cats, are an integral part of the fabric of my life. I absolutely adore them. Like other family members whom we love, I feel that it is incredibly important to have portraits of them that capture the essence of who they are, whether they’re regal or goofy (or both!) or somewhere in between. If you feel the same way about your dog, cat or other fur or scaled kid, here’s how you can learn more about a pet photo shoot with me works. Or feel free to contact me here or by emailing me at [email protected] or calling 703-727-3368. I am a pet photographer, specializing in photographs of pets and pets with their people. I serve all of Northern Virginia, including Loudoun, Fairfax, Leesburg, Ashburn and Reston, as well the DC Metro area, and I would love to create pet portraits for you that you will treasure for a lifetime.
