A Golden Retriever Surprises her Dad with Photos

Baylee, a seven-year-old Golden Retriever, may have been a little surprised when I showed up to photograph her, but the surprise really was for her dad, for Father’s Day. Baylee is as sweet, friendly and playful as she is beautiful, and her dad absolutely adores her, which is why her mom thought portraits of Baylee would make a great present for him. Brittany, from Woofies Mobile Pet Spa had groomed her a day earlier, so she looked particularly spiffy for her photos.  It was a beautiful evening, and we were fortunate that we had scheduled the session for that night, as it rained the following day, and Baylee decided that a mud bath would make her coat look even better (don’t humans pay for those??). Her mom and I didn’t agree.

Not all dogs like to get groomed, but Baylee’s mom told me that Baylee loves her groomer so much that she runs over to the door, wagging her tail excitedly until she goes outside to the van.

Baylee gave her dad his present yesterday: three beautiful portraits of herself, and according to her mom, not only was he completely surprised but he “loved, loved, loved them.”
