Pets. Lots and lots of pets.

This was my biggest pet shoot to date: four Chihuahuas, two Bassett Hounds and two cats. Christie (who owns all but two of the Chihuahuas) won a pet shoot at DogGone Natural’s open house in June. When we first talked about the session, we were going to focus on her two Chihuahuas, Sonny and B.G. Then she mentioned that she also would like to include Sadie and Gibbs, the Bassett Hounds. Then the two cats. And when I scheduled the session, she was watching her friend’s two Chihuahuas, Zeus and Beybey, so we included them, too. The cats, Huly and Nala, were easy as they stayed inside. And I came up with an order for photographing the dogs to make sure I got good photos of each one. After that, we let them loose in the yard to play and I photographed them running around having fun.
