Photographs of two Chihuahua Mix Puppies

I photographed two Chihuahua mix puppies, a brother, Jasper, and sister, Moxie at my home in Hamilton, VA. They are sweet, playful puppies who are best friends and adore their mom and dad. Moxie is a beautiful chocolate brown with gorgeous, expressive eyes and while she is spunky, she is more low key and stoic than Jasper. I always make sounds to get dogs to look at the camera, and while they got Moxie’s attention easily enough, she just looked straight at me, as if to say, “I know what you’re doing—I’m looking right at you. I know you’re making those crazy noises to get my attention.” Jasper kept tipping his head back and forth as if to say, “It is you making those crazy noises, right? Wow, that was a weird one.” Jasper is regal, goofy and joyful; he has a jump in the middle of his runs, which you’ll see in one of the photos below. He also has, to quote his dad, “amazing ups,” as you’ll also see from one of his photos below.
