Photographing dogs can be challenging but it’s also a lot of fun! (Many of you have heard me say that I have the best job in the world!!) Join me for this outdoor workshop and learn how to take better photos of any dog, trained or untrained, whether yours or someone else’s. You’ll learn my techniques for getting, and keep a dog’s attention, which is a big key to creating great dog photos! I’ll show you best practices for posing pups, angles that flatter a dog best, how to make your dog look bigger or smaller and one of the hardest skills to learn . . . how to photograph black dogs (and white dogs) outdoors. This class will open your eyes to new techniques and make photographing man’s best friend a whole lot easier!

Key Takeaways:

  • How to get and keep dogs’ attention
  • The best ways to pose pups
  • Shooting angles that flatter and how to use angles to make your dog look bigger or smaller
  • How to photograph black dogs (and white dogs) outdoors

The class will take place at Morven Park in Leesburg on June 9, 4 pm – 7 pm. Class size is limited, so register today:  https://Canon.us/dogphotoclass

Ellen Zangla Photography: Pet portraits with personality!

M.Photog., Certified Professional Photographer

Professional Photographers of America: 2018 Bronze Medal Photographer of the Year

My pets, two dogs and four cats, are an integral part of my life. I absolutely adore them. Like other family members whom we love, I feel that it is incredibly important to have portraits of them that capture the essence of who they are, whether they’re regal or goofy (or both!) or somewhere in between. If you feel the same way about your dog, cat or other fur or scaled kid, here’s how you can learn more about a pet photo shoot with me works. Or feel free to contact me. I am a pet photographer, specializing in photographs of pets and pets with their people. I serve all of Northern Virginia, including Loudoun, Fairfax, Leesburg, Ashburn and Reston, as well the DC Metro area, and I would love to create pet portraits for you that you will treasure for a lifetime.
