“But my dog can’t be off leash and isn’t trained, so you’ll never get good photos of him.” That is the concern I hear most often. Most of the dogs I photograph are on a leash; I edit them out afterwards. And unless your dog’s collar and/or tags are meaningful to you, I remove them, too. (I think dogs’ photos look better without collars and tags hanging down their neck.) See what you think below. Also, your dog doesn’t have to be an obedience champion for me to get good photos, although it is easier if she knows how to sit. If not, I can give you some tips for teaching her during our pre-session consultation.

“Ellen Zangla is superb at catching just the right moment and the right expression for your fur baby. It is obvious that she loves animals and they know it. Snickers had such a good time on our photo shoot. He was relaxed and happy and the expressions were truly fantastic. Ellen also photographed Snickers and me and I absolutely love looking at that picture. He is my shadow and I adore him. The picture of the two of us depicts that feeling. I will treasure these photographs for my lifetime. It is so heart warming to be able to see love hanging on my wall. Thank you Ellen!” — Diane, Snickers mom
